How I Spent My Summer Vacation

I am back after a week in Illinois, and ready to blog. I thought i’d share some of my (not really) wacky adventures. To be honest, if I took pictures of everything I did, it would mostly be me going to someone elses house to watch t.v. But whatever. I still had fun.

We were greeted by lots of corn…

Bonny was reunited with her (from left to right) mom, sister, and dad. It turns out she’s a runt, and I had no idea because I thought all Yorkies were that tiny. The last time I saw her mom and dad, they were about Bonny’s size. Her sister is a giant, she weighs twice as much as Bonny.

We went bowling…

Two of our friends bought houses, so we went to see them…

One of them got a trampoline…

I made teeny tiny cupcakes (and you can tell that my sugar wasn’t sifted)…

And I went and saw some kick ass paintings by my friend Felicia, she of the zine cover art fame…

I did a day in the life photo project, but I haven’t edited the photos for that yet. I also raided the local health food store, and they told me that they’re trying to open a restaurant! I’m really excited, but in the back of my mind I keep thinking about how disappointing their baked goods are. Oh, and I found out that a local burrito place is a no-lard no-chicken-stock kind of place, ate there twice, and on my second visit I got a little over zealous and ended up throwing up a burrito ‘as big as my head’ ten minutes after I ate it. That’s what I get for eating refried beans on an empty stomach. Ow. Bonny went to the vet and got some semi-expensive new eye medicine. Brian went to a water park for five hours and has a really bad sunburn, so bad that we stayed an extra day because he was too miserable to make the drive home. Good times, good times. We’ll be back in 1.5 months for his birthday. Last time, we had his party at the water park…i’m thinking he won’t be down for that this year.

That artwork is amazing! I loved your old layout but it was difficult to read the text on it — that was my only beef.

Juingy the looks of these pituresyou must he gone to Sprinfield. I would not have gotten that unless i saw your friend’s art on the wall of the Trout Lily cafe. I am so tickled because it wasn’t the artwork recognized but rather the wall color and distinctive placement of the paintings. Anyhow i just had to comment because i only happened to come across your blog- and low and behold i find myself looking at pictures of little ol’ Springfield! Sorry to hear about the burrito catastrophe 🙁
